Classification & Certification Unit Analyst

They are seeking a Classification & Certification Unit Analyst who will provide technical expertise and assistance to department staff while performing analytical and technical classification and certification work.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing technical personnel management duties related to the classification and certification functions
• Providing technical expertise, training, guidance, and assistance to Department staff
• Performing analytical and technical classification and certification work using a high degree of independent judgment
• Acting as a back-up analyst to peers
• Knowledge of the hiring and appointment process in accordance with California Department of Human Resources (CalHR)
• Screening applicants for minimum qualifications and interpreting and applying salary rules appropriately
• Providing consultation to Managers, Supervisors and Program staff on a myriad of Classification and Certification inquiries
